JOE KLEMPAY, AIA
Director of Technical Design and Quality Assurance

Joe Klempay received his B.Arch. from Carnegie Mellon University in 1958 and his M. S. Arch. from Columbia University in 1964.  During the 1960’s Mr. Klempay worked at a number of architectural firms in both London and New York City.  He began working as a project architect at Ewing Cole in Philadelphia in 1970 where he was made a partner.  He has served as senior project architect for many large and technically complex projects including the Kranji Racetrack in Singapore and the Federal Reserve Bank Building in Philadelphia.  

His significant health care projects include major inpatient and diagnostic and treatment buildings at the Medical Center at Princeton, the Medical College of Pennsylvania, Germantown Hospital and the Outpatient Center at Riddle Memorial Hospital.

Because of his extraordinary technical knowledge Mr. Klempay was appointed Director of Quality Assurance at Ewing Cole in 1990.  Mr. Klempay is highly respected by his professional peers, and his advice is sought through all phases of the project by all members of the project team.
